Join Twin Cities Ballet’s professional ballet dancers at the Lakeville Area Arts Center for a fun-filled interactive performance event designed for families and children ages preschool through eight. The programs are less than an hour long—the perfect length for busy schedules and curious minds.

”Dance With Me” highlights age and ability appropriate body movement using different forms of dance, and features unique monthly themes, short dance classes, optional audience participation, and short performance demonstrations in costume by TCB’s professional company dancers. You are welcome to enjoy one, many, or all of the programs!

The tie between genealogy and genetics has been getting a lot more attention lately as DNA kits like AncestryDNA and 23andme, have become more popular. There are a lot of wonderful tools and things to be learned from both the field of genealogy and in DNA kits. They both have a lot to offer in family history research. Yet, there are drawbacks and misunderstandings to both. Come learn more about both fields and see how they can work together to help you learn more about yourself and your family history. Come and enjoy a lunch of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, cranberries, bun, butter and dessert. After lunch, enjoy music by the Lakeville Area Active Adults Music Jams group. This group of musicians plays music from the oldies to pop music. Lunch is sponsored by LAAA Advisory Committee.

The Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center conducts driver safety classes at the Heritage Center. Drivers 55+ may be eligible for a 10% discount on their auto insurance. An 8-hour course is initially required, followed by a 4-hour refresher class every three years.

The Envision Lakeville 'Cultivate a Sense of Community' Taskforce meets on the first Tuesday of each month (with some exceptions) at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Avenue. Meetings are open to the public.
