    Ages 18+

    Looking for some creative garden art ideas? Concrete leaves are just the ticket – they turn out amazing and are simply gorgeous tucked into flower beds around the yard and easy to make too! Using leaves as molds the concrete is cast in a bed of sand. Feel free to bring your own leaves such as rhubarb, pumpkin, hosta - or use some of ours!

  2. Garden Stepping Stone Workshop

    June 13, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Lakeville Area Arts Center

    Ages 15+

    Thinking ahead to spring, in this workshop we will make a large stepping stone for your garden. All materials are provided including a variety of mosaic stones and tiles to embed in the concrete. The stone needs to cure for one week before transporting.

    Demonstrations will cover hand-building and basic wheel-throwing techniques for beginners, as well as more advanced concepts for intermediate students. Students work at their own pace with both individualized and group instruction. Bring an old towel.

    Have you or someone you know been affected by dementia? Each of us can make a difference for people touched by dementia by understanding what dementia is and how it affects people. Dementia Friends is a global movement that is changing the way people think, act and talk about dementia. Join us as we help the Heritage Center and Lakeville become a Dementia Friendly Community. Jess Luce of Dakota County Public Health and Amanda Nickerson of Metropolitan Area on Aging will lead the discussion. Everyone is invited to attend.
