Current Volunteer Opportunities at Heritage Center
Reception volunteers: Current openings are Friday mornings. Greet Heritage Center guests, maintain coffee area (make coffee, keep area neat and clean), assist with bread program, and other responsibilities as needed. Friendly outgoing personality is helpful for this position. Volunteer weekly or monthly to fit your schedule.
Special event volunteers: The Lakeville Area Active Adults program holds several special events throughout the year. Proceeds from these events benefit the Active Adults program. Some of the events include the Pan-O-Prog Craft & Bake Sale in July, the Waffle Breakfast in October, and a holiday event in December.
Group leaders: (card groups, biking club, pickleball, book club, men’s golf league). These volunteers help to organize group activities and communicate to the members. They may also be responsible for supplies associated with the particular group.
Library volunteers: Categorize and organize books, discard older materials so library does not become overcrowded. Positions currently filled.
Singers: “Classic Voices” Chorus and Red Hat Chorus practice weekly and perform throughout the community and surrounding area.
Greeting cards volunteer: Organizes greeting cards to sell in our gift shop. Position currently filled.
Bingo caller: 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 1-2:30 p.m. Call bingo twice per month to a fun, energetic group of players. Position currently filled.
Technology Tutor: Are you savvy with a computer or iPad? Would you like to do something great for the Lakeville senior citizens? The Lakeville Area Active Adults program is currently seeking a volunteer to help senior citizens with their computers and/or iPads.
