UbiDuo 3

The City of Lakeville has now added a new device called the UbiDuo 3, wireless communication that enables people who are deaf and hard of hearing to communicate easily and effectively with staff and to interact instantly with each other face-to-face at any time and any place. The device does not require internet or WiFi. It can be used for planned meetings or for members of the public who walk in and need immediate assistance.

It can be used for face-to-face communication with individuals who

  • Are deaf
  • Have had hearing and lost it (late deafened)
  • Are using a tracheotomy
  • Have expressive stuttering
  • Or with any individual with a communication barrier

Watch this short video to see how UbiDuo 3works.

Members of the public who wish to use this device at City facilities or during City meetings can request it by calling City Hall at 952-985-4407. Please allow four hours notice.
