  2. Prairie Fire Youth Theatre: Beauty & the Beast

    Ages 7-15

    Upon registration your child is automatically accepted into the cast—no acting experience necessary. Auditions for specific parts take place the first day of camp from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Rehearsal times will vary by the part your child gets, so flexibility for pick-up/drop-off times is needed. In general, rehearsal times will fall between 12:30 and 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, rehearsal will begin at 3 p.m. and will last right up to show time. All costumes, music and scenery are provided and are included in the registration fee. Tickets to the performances are $7 and can be purchased online.

    The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at City Hall, 20195 Holyoke Ave. If a holiday occurs on the meeting date, the Council meets on the following evening. Council meetings are televised live on Government Channel 180 and are also available for online viewing after each meeting.

    Ages 3-11

    Ripples and Waves is back! Dancers will have the chance to develop basic dance & tumbling skills by participating in social, physical and creative activities, all in a fun and enriching environment! A dance show will be held during the last 10 minutes of the Thursday class. Instructor/student ratio 1:15.

      Led by Mike Lynch! Hoop it up and join this exciting basketball camp! Camp is for boys and girls who are interested in improving their skills including: passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and offensive/defensive moves. You will also compete in games and contests. Sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership will be incorporated throughout the camp. Players will be grouped by age and ability. Participants receive a t-shirt. Bring lunch, snack and water bottle.

    • Mountain Bike Camp

      July 15, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ West Lake Marion Mountain Bike Trail


      Ages 10-15

      Lead by certified instructors, the camp includes bike games, mountain biking skills and trail riding. These classes have been very popular in Lebanon Hills and now they are available in Lakeville! Participants need a Mountain Bike, a bicycle helmet in good condition and appropriate riding clothing. All bikes will be required to pass a safety inspection at Valley Bike & Ski before the camp. Rental bikes are also available for an additional $60.

      For engineers and builders ready for a challenge using LEGO® bricks! We’ve saved our most challenging engineering projects for this summer camp. Students build a robotic DogBot, a motorized BugBot, geared up Racer and a Scary Bat...all challenging for any connoisseur of LEGO® bricks. Students then use these projects, and more, to investigate engineering concepts. We keep it fun too with open ended, creative projects for the students. Unshackle the ball and chain of summer brain drain.
