This project includes the restoration of South Creek and a storm water basin, located southwest of the intersection of Holyoke Avenue and 210th Street. Bank failures along South Creek and the basin contribute to water quality impairments in South Creek and the Vermillion River through the mixing of water and sediment. The project is designed to reduce erosion and sedimentation downstream, lower stream temperatures and increase oxygen levels in South Creek. The City and the Vermillion River Watershed Joint Powers Organization are partnering on this project.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2018. Final restoration is anticipated during the summer of 2019.
